Hats...Hats...Hats...the word has lost all meaning.

My mammy has just asked me to fetch her hat from her room.
Now, this is a woman who owns alot of hats...not because she has a wierd hat fetish or 'owt like that, no no no...until very recently she had no hair whatsoever-long story, illness, hair loss, blah blah blah.
Anyway...back to the subjet. Upon asking her which hat she would like {the red wooly one, the black top hat-esque one, you get the generalisation) she replies "the one I pull on my head".
Now, I'm sorry but is she stupid or something? How else do you put a hat on your head? Is there some secret type of hat that you can wear without having to do all that hard work and "pull it on"?
Or maybe it's her age?!
